This is a ghost story I have heard around Oregon over the last few years. At first I was not sure of its validity, so I asked a law enforcement friend about it, he said was that there is a lot of stuff the police run into that just does not make sense but does happen, it is never released to the public because the departments do not want to look bad or inspire others to go chasing something that can get them hurt or worse.
Witnesses have reported seeing a camouflage coloured van appearing from nowhere driven by perhaps the devil himself. The van itself does not make a sound but some witnesses report hearing what sounds like heavy metal music playing. The van is usually reported as being covered in a greenish blue haze and seems to have a similar coloured fog billowing from beneath and behind it as though it were on fire.
When pulling off the road to let it pass it is often said to vanish, some have said to have seen two women passengers waving and giving the devil sign with their tongues stuck out at people before the vehicle fades right before your eyes. On other occasions the radio stations will change and the lights in your own vehicle will begin flickering and sometime the vehicle will die and you can't start the car. The Van will appear and it becomes very cold, once the van has passed the temperature returns to normal and the cars power will return.
The van driver has been seen walking along the road in the early hours of the morning sometimes accompanied by two black wolves. If your headlights hit him he will turn and where his eyes should be all you see is blackness. He is described by witnesses as wearing a black Top Hat, with two small horns. He wears a long black leather trench or duster coat that is always open, with a burgundy coloured dress shirt, loose fitting blue jeans and what some have said looks like combat boots.
He is said to have long red or auburn coloured hair and a handle bar moustache. His skin is described as being pale and more of a greyish blue. His build is stocky and heavy weighing approximately 280 lbs he is in his late 30's early forties. Some women who have seen him describe him as being handsome but has a stern look on his face, and more than one witness have claimed that when he frowned he had long vampire like fangs and roared like a bear.
