Laura's Paranormal Experiences

I was 11 years old when my first experience with the paranormal occurred, Me, my brother, mum and dad lived in a one bedroom flat, it was a tight squeeze as you can imagine, I had to share a room with my brother, we had bunk beds, I was on the bottom, my brother on the top. One morning, I woke feeling a little ill, so my mum said that it was ok for me to stay off school, provided I stay in bed, I was ok with this, obviously, as it meant no school, I wish now, I did go to school.

I asked my mum if I was allowed to put on my TV, just to make the day seem a little less boring, she said yes. My TV was old, we found it in an unoccupied apartment that my dad was renovating, and we made sure no one owned it or was coming back for it before my dad said we could have it for my room.

Sitting in my room watching TV, feeling sorry for myself, I was nodding off, and right at that moment, the TV turned off, the scary thing was, I hadn't turned it off and I saw the off button being push in. I had not done it, so who had?? I was petrified, rather than shout for my mum, I just froze, I could not move, or scream. I just waited till my mum came in my room to ask if I was feeling better. After that, I hated the TV, I did not look at it, never mind switching it on.

A few months went by before anything else happened, then just like before, out of the blue, I began to here banging and scratching noises, I could not tell my mum and dad what I was hearing as they'd laugh and tell me not to be so stupid, I tried to carry on as normal but it was difficult.

A couple of years later, we left the flat and moved into a house, the house we bought was that of an elderly man, who had been taken into a care home, the house was, old, filthy and to be quite frank, down right eerie. My parents spent a year redecorating and making it more homely, life seemed to be great.
