Around 30 years ago, my family and I lived in a house in Herondale Road, just off Penny Lane in Allerton, Liverpool. During the time we lived there, we had more than a few paranormal, if not spooky occurrences. To begin with there were instances of lights turning on by themselves and sounds of heavy footfalls in the attic, these activities progressed into more sinister goings on during our time there.
One morning our 3 year old daughter, started laughing, when we asked her what she was laughing at, she replied that she was laughing at the 'dancing lady'. The room was completely empty except for me, her and my wife.The stories of the dancing lady progressed to the point that my daughter would tell us that she had been having conversations with her in the small hours of the morning. This continued for around two months.
One night in mid January, me and my wife woke up to our daughter screaming hysterically, we asked her what was wrong, she told us that the dancing lady had tried to grab her hand and pull her out of bed. After this incident, my daughter never spoke of the dancing lady again and 8 months later we moved house again. It is unbeknown to us whether the dancing lady has been seen since, but we assume that she is still present around the area.
