My partner and I have experienced some unexplainable events in my home which mostly revolve around our son's bedroom. On various occasions we have heard whispering through the baby monitor and it can sometimes be recognizable as a male voice, we have also heard the same thing in our son's room and at the top of the stairs just outside his bedroom.
There was on incident where we heard the music from our sons mobile above his cot playing through the baby monitor but when we went to his room to check the mobile was not on and our son was fast asleep, when we returned downstairs we could hear it again. Our son was too young at the tome to have put the mobile on or off himself. I once heard very old music playing through the monitor.
On another occasion we heard our son giggling and babbling as if being entertained by someone but when we went to check he was just playing and nothing and no one was in the room. There was also an incident where my partner went to get our son after his afternoon nap and the light on the ceiling was swinging back and forth as if someone had swung it, there was no open window and no draft which could have caused this, our son was pointing at it.
We have never felt afraid or uncomfortable with these events and our son does not seem unsettled by it either but we are curious to what may have been causing them. These paranormal events occurred regularly over a period of 2 years. Our son is now 4 and we have not heard any voices or anything in some time now but what we are experiencing now is an awful odor in our living room which comes and goes and there seems to be nothing that could be causing it, it varies in strength when it is present and will go away all together for a while before it comes back.
I am not sure if this has any relevance but I also have some pictures of my some when he was very young and there appears to be a streak of light in a few of them which he appears to be looking at and was not there when the pictures were taken, they were not taken by a digital camera and could only be seen after the film was developed.
I cannot explain any of what I have just said and I am looking for a rational explanation if possible. Any ideas or advice would be welcome.
