Close to midday my husband and I were driving through Tilshead, Wiltshire. In a merry fashion I saw a lady walking down the side of a field wearing a long red skirt, a white long pinafore and a really big hat. As I watched the woman she suddenly just disappeared, I asked my husband if he had seen the woman, he said that he had, but he saw the skirt as black and the hat as being black I saw her hat as blue.
This week at 1.00-1.30pm, I drove past the same field I slowed the car, and on the ridge at the top of the field I saw 2 people walking side by side. One was dressed in a long red cape and the other in black wearing a stiff white bonnet. I stopped the car and went into the field.
There were 3 tractors in the field working; I asked a young lad who was close to one of the tractors if he saw the couple. He said the ones in the strange outfits I said yes - he looked as bemused as I did. I made light of it saying oh it must have been druids! I knew it was not though I can not explain what I saw, no one walks around like that and they were totally oblivious to the tractors around them.
Just walking straight ahead, I drove the car to where they would have to come out of the field but they never did.
