When I was 15 or 16 and living with my parents I had a really strange thing happen. My parents had been on holiday and they were coming back later that day, and as they had been gone for two weeks I was having a tidy up. I came to the lounge and there were a few days worth of newspapers lying around and a couple of magazines. I picked them up and put them in our magazine rack,and then had a quick hover up.
I then went upstairs to start on the bathroom when I heard a noise in the lounge. I went back down and opened the lounge door only to find that the entire contents of the magazine rack had been thrown all over the room. I looked around the room, but there were no windows open and nothing in the room. I became quite scared, thinking that someone was in the house. I ran to the kitchen and picked up a knife, and then proceeded to search the house, but there was nobody in the house and all the doors and windows were locked.
Our house was built in the latter part of the nineteenth century, so would occasionally make strange noises, but I have never seen anything like this before or after this event.

I believe it because it has happened to me. My grandfather died in my house.One day I was in my room when i heard a noise. I ran out to see what it was. In his old room all the stuff was all over the place. Then I checked the house, nobody was there. When I was back in my room with the door closed. The door opened and no one was there. I have other occasions too.
