Strange Occurences at the Farmhouse-November 2006, Part 3
Dear Ghost-story.co.uk,
Thank you for passing on some of the emails from your readers. There are now voices in the house, whatever is going on seems to be escalating and I would appreciate any advice from yourselves or visitors to the site.
Gemma asked me the other day what I was whispering outside her door the night before. I swear that unless I am sleepwalking I have done no such thing. As you could imagine this has got me extremely nervous and I am sleeping less and less. I asked Gemma if she would like the move her bed into our room for a while because her room might be too cold. But she is adamant that she is too old to sleep in the same room as us. I don't want to appear pushy because Kate and Gemma still have no idea that there is anything wrong. I have spent every night since staring at Gemmas door; listening. Kate sleeps better here than she ever did in London.
The other night I heard something for the first time. I was lying there and the tv was on quietly, I had set it to turn off after 90 minutes and after 90 minutes it did exactly that. In that first moment of silence I heard a voice downstairs. I raised my other ear from the pillow and just held myself there trying to strain my hearing and I heard at least two voices. They were coming from the room immediately below ours. They were hushed and I couldn't make out any words, but I would stake my life that I heard a conversation from inside our house.
I have had all the locks in the house changed, I should have done that after I found the front door open. The old owners might have given keys to everybody in the area, and I think I need to eliminate the already tiny part of me that thinks somebody is just trying to mess with us.
John
